Meet Henry

Welcome back! When we last updated, we had been home from China for a year with our daughter Sadie. We enjoyed chronicling our experiences and trip. At a certain point, we fell into a routine and blogging the ordinary seemed, well, ordinary. However, we promised that if we were to go back to China, we would power the site up again.

We are in the final phases of our second adoption and wanted to give everyone (anyone?) out there a heads up that we'll be traveling in a few months to meet and bring home our son, Henry.


We take his picture with us just about anywhere.



Sadie first saw his picture after getting the referral email. She was immediately proud of her new baby brother.


We set to work on getting his room ready. Sadie never passes up an opportunity to paint. The color is really an apple green.


Since the referral, Sadie has felt a range of emotions including astonishment.


Frustration.


Ennui.


Sadness.


But mostly happiness.
