Killing time

No word from China. In fact, its been a little too quiet. If we were to hear tomorrow, perhaps we'd travel by March, but that seems less likely as we get closer to Chinese New Year. Actually, we did get a small little update that included his height/weight. We've had to readjust the definition of "little brother" for Sadie. Little in this case means just an inch or two shorter.

So what have we been doing? The word waiting doesn't quite seem to have enough action associated with it so we have been filling our time with various activities.

We sent Henry a few things including photos of us and a stuffed animal. Unfortunately the chances are slim to none that he'll see it before we see him. Still, it was a nice mental exercise.

Sadie is preparing for her new role as big sister. Again, "bigger" would better be labeled as older.

For some reason spinning around on indoor carousels seems to make us all feel better while we wait.

There are, of course, variations to spinning indoor rides.

It is kind of amazing the number of options to this theme.

Of course the big news is that Sadie met Santa. This was no wait-in-line-at-the-mall meeting. This was a home visit at The Big Woods' house.

Sadie is 4 years old. She understood the gravity of the situation and of getting this right the first time. She has been practicing for this moment since mid-October.

It went off without a hitch! Sadie uttered the words "I want a My Little Pony Scoot-A-Loo" without a quiver in her voice!

Thanks for the update. I've been wondering! Love the pics - and Sadie - you go girl and telling Santa what a girl needs! (ps I like your big sister tshirt).
